National Breast Cancer Awareness Month educates women about the importance of ealy detection. Join us this October as we support those who have battled and survived breast casncer and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We will e having an all-day free sewing event. You can make your choice of either a comfort pillow or quilt block. Pillows will be donated to breast cancer victims. Wuilt blocks will be assmebled, then donated as well with the possibility of having aan auction with all proeeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Please RSVP

The "Sew for Soldiers" marathon is back! We will be making carzy quilt squares which will be put into a quilt. The finished uilts will be donated to the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital to support our local vets. Two youears ago, Sew for Soldiers produced 11 quilts, which were donated to the Walter Reed Hospital and 9 quilts where sent to Camp Pendleton for returning vets from Iraq. If you are 8 to 98 years old, come join us and sew one or more blaocks to support our vets who support our country. The class is Free but PLEASE RSVP.
