Created by Rose Mary Jameson, this unique design was done and entered into a contest that was sponsored by Soroptimist Internation for their annual convention. The theme was "Elements", and earth, wind, fire or water had to be central to the design. Rose Mary drew inspiration from a trip to Sedona, AZ, and attempted to represent the colors of the red rock against a turquoise sky. The bag was voted first place among the entries.
Now you have the opportunity to create your own unique bag, choosing the fabric and beads that reflect your own style. The colors listed on the pattern are guidelines, feel free to vary them according to your own tastes.
Skills required: Intermediate to advanced sewing experience. Some knowledge of felting helpful, but not required. Bead Embroidery and fringing techniques explained in directions. Completion estimated between thirty-five to forty-five hours for the average "Sewing Diva", not counting artistic embellishments that may add to the time and fun.
