There’s something about birds. The way they soar, the way the sing, the way they so gracefully play. Some people spend hours and days watching birds, while others, like ourselves, spend hours and days creating and stitching out the most beautiful birds we could imagine. Here at Anita Goodesign we often catch a glimpse of the cardinals and sparrows flittering around outside of our windows. They dance into our lives for a brief moment before they fly out of sight. We have created a collection unlike anything we have done before. Majestic 3D Birds is a collection of some of the most beautiful birds each giving the illusion that they may fly off at any moment. The feathers for each bird are created using a freestanding technique. The bird is then stitched out in beautiful detail and the feathers are attached in the hoop. The tutorial will walk you step-by-step through creating the freestanding feathers, stitching out your design, and attaching the feathers.
